Story Of The Year at Franklin Music Hall 11/21/25

Story Of The Year wasted absolutely no time bringing the energy this past Friday at Franklin Music Hall in Philadelphia. The Scream Team Tour made stop number four in Philly and Story Of The Year lit up the room with the kind of electricity that reminds you exactly why their live shows have become legendary.

Playing to a packed room of fans who have grown with them over two decades, the band delivered a night that celebrated those who have followed them on their journey and welcomed those who have never seen them before.  Story of the Year, Senses Fail and Armor For Sleep joined forces to bring together The Scream Team Tour.

When the lights dropped and the band tore into their opening track, it was clear how excited the crowd was to be there. Starting with their brand new single “Gasoline (All Rage Still Only Numb)” and  even though this song has only been out for a little over a month, the room echoed with fans singing along. We can only imagine how hard their new album, A.R.S.O.N. will hit live based on this show alone! Dan brought the showmanship only a seasoned veteran could offer. His voice was still sharp with the aggressive edge we all know and love. There is nothing more impressive than this band's ability to sound so cohesive year after year.

If you’ve never seen Story Of The Year play live, let us paint you a picture. It’s intense (in the best way), make sure to keep your eyes peeled around the stage as they put on an amazing performance full of spinning, jumping, and high kicks. It is extremely contagious to watch the chemistry on stage.

Story Of The Year pulled together a setlist that anyone could love and enjoy. Their hits from Page Avenue had the crowd singing as loud as they could and the deep cuts from In The Wake of Determination proved that even after twenty years of an albums release, they still sound as fresh as the day it came out. Newer tracks held their own, slotting into the setlist with surprising cohesion. The crowd didn’t just tolerate them, they responded, moshing and singing with the same passion reserved for the classics.

From the first song in the set all the way until the end, Story Of The Year had everyone in that venue wanting more. As they warped up the final song, they made their promise to return to Philly which was met with loud applause and cheer. Some concerts fade as soon as you walk out the door. This wasn’t one of them. This was the kind of show you talk about for months. The kind you measure future concerts against. The kind that reminds you why you fell in love with this music in the first place.
