This past Saturday, Delilah Bon, an artist based in the United Kingdom, took the stage for the second show of her first US tour at Underground Arts* in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
*Initially set to take place at a venue called Milkboy, the show was moved to Underground Arts due to high demand.

Delilah Bon is known for coining the term “Brat Punk”, making music with heavy-hitting bass, roaring guitars, and powerful lyrics that highlight current issues going on in today’s world, particularly in today’s political climate; she frequently shows support for the LGBTQ+ community and makes many references to them in her songs. She currently has over 380 thousand followers on Tiktok, with over 4 million likes.
Before Delilah Bon came on stage, Cherub Tree, a small band from Washington, DC, opened the show *add something here*. The energy both on stage and through the crowd was radiating; it’s always nice to see an opening band get the attention that they deserve, as the crowd was dancing and singing along to every song that was performed. The band also closed out their set with a cover of “Chop Suey” by System of a Down, which formed a mosh pit and got everybody hyped up for what was to come.
Then, Delilah Bon took the stage, opening up her set with a mix of “Freak of the Week” and “Brat.” The crowd was fantastic, singing along to every song, dancing around, and overall just letting loose and feeling fully comfortable within their surroundings. Delilah takes the time in between shows to assure fans that they should feel comfortable within their own skin and be proud of who they are; she also performed one of her most powerful songs, “Not the President,” which moved the crowd to tears.
“Around the world I can see from all these messages I receive; There's so much fight in these girls, the LGBT and non-binary” - Delilah Bon, “Not the President”
The artist closed out her show with some of her most popular songs, including “I Wish A Bitch Would” and “Dead Men Don’t Rape” before coming back on stage for an encore.
Getting to see Delilah Bon’s performance live was moving; even with her fast-paced lyrics, the audience had every word memorized to its core. You can also tell when an artist truly loves what they do for a living, and this is no exception for Delilah. Her audience continues to grow by the day, and with the large amount of positive impact she has with her lyricism and her platform, she is becoming a driving force for punk music as a whole. There is nothing more punk than using your platform for good, and that’s exactly what she does.
There are also still many dates left of her tour to catch. For more information on her US tour, click here. You can also keep up with her on Instagram and Tiktok.
