On Friday, May 9th, Smallpools stopped by The Foundry to celebrate ten years of their hit record, “LOVETAP!”. Along for the ride were solo artist Tana Matz, and indie rock group Rec Hall.
The night began with Matz and her guitar warming up the room with a mix of must-know covers and undeniable originals. Rec Hall took stage next and brought their Californian roots with them. Amongst their set, the band played an unreleased track for fans and performed a cover of “Another Brick in the Wall” by Pink Floyd that they fused with their own unique indie rock.
The crowd was off their feet from the moment Smallpools started their set. During their song “Killer Whale”, an inflatable whale was thrown out to that surfed around the entire crowd. There was nothing but tremendous energy inside the venue while the band paid homage to a record they’ve officially been playing for a decade now.
